Topics in Corrugated Fiberboard Modeling |
This webinar, first presented on May 10, 2010, provides a background to the scope of
research in the performance of corrugated fiberboard conducted at the
Forest Products Laboratory (FPL)
and introduces the underlying principles within modeling software
by Corrugraphics emanating from the FPL research. Topics include: Box compression
analysis and nonlinear BCT model; Combined board analysis input to BCT model; Local
buckling, maximum load, calibration of model; Optimum designs with minimum weight/cost;
Finite element analysis; Creep experiments; Minimum cost linerboard and corrugating medium;
Column strength of tubular packaging forms; Forced vibration of corrugated boxes.
